MOUTHPIECES

FENIX Mouthpieces are made in two parts:
the Body (cup + shank) and the Rim

  • The performance of the mouthpiece comes from the Body and all the parameters that it contains
  • The comfort on the face comes from the rim profile and thickness.

The sound, intonation tendencies, resistance/openness, and articulation quality comes from the mouthpiece cup + body.

It’s a synergistic effect between:

• The shape and volume of the cup

• The diameter and length of the throat

• The shape and volume of the backbore

• The weight of the mouthpiece

• The length of the mouthpiece

All factors play a role in how the mouthpiece performs. Therefore, we offer a mouthpiece cup + body with a fixed geometry - giving you the performance of the mouthpiece.

The different rim options allow you to select the feeling that you prefer on your face.

Cup models range from A (deepest) to F (shallowest). The deepest cup (A) is the heaviest. The most shallow cup (F) is the lightest.The performance of the mouthpiece comes from the Body and all the parameters that it contains

The roman number before the letter defines the internal diameter, measured 1,5 mm from the point of contact of the rim.

Internal diameters:
I = 17,1 mm
II = 16,8 mm
III = 16,5 mm
IV = 16,2 mm
V = 15,9 mm
