The B1 is designed to be an ideal all-round trumpet: a standard-weight trumpet that feels instantly familiar. It has a full-bodied voice, capable of excellent projection and versatility. We created it with orchestral and section work in mind. It has a unique voice, yet it blends very well within a section.
On the soft side it has a warm and gentle tone, and when you reach the louder dynamics it gets very brilliant.
The geometry of the bell, made in gold brass, provides the special quality of warmth. The thin bell material helps to make the sound exciting and brilliant when you step on the gas.
The receiver has a bit more material than a traditional receiver, and is machined in Nickel Silver instead of Brass. This is to minimize energy loss and create a solid lock between the mouthpiece and the receiver. It also serves to balance the weight of the trumpet in your hand.
Additionally, each of our trumpets allow the musician to customize and optimize the instrument's response. FENIX trumpets feature a threaded receiver that allows you to change the venturi (the starting diameter of the leadpipe - establishing the first point of resistance for the trumpet) and the gap (the distance between the end of the mouthpiece and the start of the leadpipe).
Simply unscrew the receiver and replace the internal piece with a different size. This allows you to adapt the instruments resistance and feel to match your specific needs.
All the details of the trumpets are made with CNC machinery to ensure maximum quality and precision.
The horn is supplied with 3 receiver sockets:
1) 8,8 mm Venturi
2) 8,9 mm Venturi
3) 9,0 mm Venturi
